Teniendo a toda mi familia - mis padres, hermanos, abuelos, tios, bisabuelos, tatarabuelos junto a mi, en mi tierra, me decidi ir.

Cancion

Reloj no marques las horas
porque voy a enloquecer.
Ella se ira para siempre
cuando amanezca otra vez.
Nomas nos queda esta noche
para vivir nuestro amor
y tu tic-tac me recuerda
mi irremediable dolor.
Reloj detén tu camino
porque mi vida se apaga.
Ella es la estrella
que alumbra mi ser
yo sin su amor no soy nada.
Detén el tiempo en tus manos
haz esta noche perpetua
para que nunca se vaya de mi
para que nunca amanezca.

Tree that is born twisted will never straighten.

When we leave our homeland, we leave behind the knowledge of generations.

Our world has been driven by the illusion of capitalist desire. The desire that is illusion because it can not be realized. As soon as such desire is realized, it is replaced by a new desire. It is the insatiable desire that drives our global economy; the relentless desire that has taken hold of human consciousness. The insatiable desire that allows the death of millions of human beings. The enslavement of hundreds of millions, the loss of cultures, the dislocation of other possibilities for humankind. And whomever does not conform is a terrorist that must be killed.

Until the day that humanity liberates itself from the desire to own the earth, liberates itself from capitalist desire, the catostrophic consequences of imperial capitalism will continue to be king of humanity. This is an existence of complete isolation.

I left my Planet of Lights to come to this miserable planet. Before I killed intergalactic monsters to protect humankind, now the only monsters that must be stopped are the humans.

Yes, yes Ultraman it seems to me that you are correct. Having my entire family - my parents, brothers, grandparents, uncles, great grandparents, great great grandparents with me, I left my land, I decided to leave.

I thought that in my country there was no future; that it was a country run by corrupt evil doers, well that is true. I went north and saw things that I never imagined. I saw so many opportunities. I saw the future, a future much greater than anything possible in my problematic country.

I left so that my children would have all the opportunities available in the United States. I worked like a slave, and I did well, I bought a car and a house. I sent my children to the best schools. But I also realized that those who run that country are as evil as the ones from my land. But oh well, that's politics.

I continued forward - new cars, bigger televisions, a more beautiful home... Working hard, two or three jobs at a time and everything can be achieved. As the saying goes to the best monkey falls the fruit.

Time passed, my children grew up and left me. They moved to other parts of the world to make their lives. I looked at everything that I had accumulated, and I felt lonely, so I decided to return to my place of birth. After all, there my money would last me much longer.

But upon returning I felt a new lonliness. I found my siblings with large families. Siblings that were now grandparents, and their families so united. They always invite me to their parties and the birthdays of the grandchildren, but it is no longer the same as when we were children or young families with our children playing together.

Now it is their grandchildren that play together and I'm the old uncle that scares the children.

I formed my children in another culture. A culture based in capitalism. A culture in which the foundation of family, the roots of generations have been torn.

It is in my old age that I discover that the reality of the immigrant is solitude. That when one leaves one's land and returns decades later, ones land is no longer what it was.

We loose the certainty of family, we open the door to dislocation and lonliness, that is the virus of the immigrant - one is neither from here nor there.

Song

Clock don't mark the hours,
because I'm going to go mad.
She will leave me forever
when it's morning again.
We only have this night
to live our love,
and your tic toc reminds me
of my incurable pain.
Clock stop your passage
because my life nears its end.
She is the star that illuminates my life
and without her love I am nothing.
Stop time in your hands,
make this night last forever,
so that she will never leave me,
so that a new day will not arrive.
